Adobe is expanding AI and digital skills training to 7.8 million students and teachers across India in 2026 through seven state governments, UNICEF and online learning platforms to prepare learners for digital careers.
Adobe Brings AI Tools To Seven States
The initiative covers government schools in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Assam, Bihar and Tamil Nadu. As part of its Adobe AI training in India initiative, Adobe is providing access to Adobe Express for Education and Digital Academy resources focused on creative problem-solving, digital storytelling and AI-assisted content creation.
The program extends across PM SHRI, CM SHRI, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan school networks. Teachers will also receive training to incorporate digital creativity and AI activities into classroom learning.
“Through this partnership, we’re bringing classroom-ready AI tools like Adobe Express directly into schools, helping students and educators develop the creative and AI skills they need for the future of work,” said Mala Sharma, Adobe’s global vice president and general manager for education.
Adobe said the Adobe AI training in India program supports the goals of India’s National Education Policy, which emphasizes digital tools, AI and future-ready skills. The company also said the initiative complements the Union Budget 2026 target of creating 2 million jobs in the animation, visual effects, gaming and comics sector by 2030.
UNICEF Partnership Links Skills To Careers
Adobe’s partnership with UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited is expanding another route for young people to gain creative and AI skills. Adobe said nearly 400,000 young people in India have accessed these programs, while more than 375,000 completed its Design Fundamentals with AI course.
The partnership began in India in 2025, when Adobe Digital Academy content was added to Generation Unlimited’s Passport to Earning platform as part of Adobe AI training in India. By May 2026, more than 375,000 young people had completed the training, according to UNICEF.
Adobe is now the inaugural partner of Generation Unlimited’s Creative Academy, which is designed to connect digital and AI-augmented skills with employment, freelancing and entrepreneurship opportunities. The initiative initially focuses on India and Brazil.
“Young people everywhere are already creating, solving problems, telling stories, imagining futures for themselves and their communities. What too many lack is the bridge from that talent to a livelihood,” said Nadi Albino, acting CEO of UNICEF Generation Unlimited.
Adobe Expands Training Through Online Platforms
Adobe Digital Academy courses are also available through Adobe AI training in India on Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, YouTube and IBM SkillsBuild. IBM SkillsBuild offers Adobe content through self-paced courses and Guided Learning Experiences that include facilitator support and practical activities.
The training covers areas including AI literacy, digital marketing, content creation and AI-supported creative workflows. Adobe has also expanded access to Photoshop, Acrobat and Firefly for students at accredited higher education institutions in India.
Adobe partnered with NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime as part of its Adobe AI training in India efforts, a digital-skilling initiative developed with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, to provide learners with free courses and industry-relevant certifications.
Globally, Adobe said its Digital Academy reached more than 3 million learners in 2026 and remains on track toward its goal of reaching 30 million learners by 2030.
