Kampus Insights CC has launched Lead Spark Team, a School Improvement Operating System designed to help districts strengthen professional learning communities, track classroom practice, and build lasting internal capacity.
Platform Focuses On Structured Collaboration And Measurable Practice
Lead Spark Team aims to address a common concern in K 12 education. Professional learning communities meet regularly, yet many schools struggle to connect meetings with visible changes in classroom instruction. Districts often rely on external consultants, but evidence of impact may not appear until months later when test scores are released.
According to the company, the new system gives administrators a structured six step framework. School leaders can identify instructional challenges, connect them to research based practices, design focused professional learning sessions, and monitor classroom implementation. Observations last ten to twelve minutes and generate data that can be reviewed early in the cycle.
Olivia Odileke, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kampus Insights CC, said districts often invest significant funds in consultants each year. When contracts end, she noted, much of the expertise leaves with them. She explained that Lead Spark Team is designed so administrators can facilitate collaboration cycles themselves, allowing capacity to remain within the district.
The platform produces Evidence Reports that show whether teacher teams are applying agreed practices and how consistently they are doing so. This information becomes available by the third week of a cycle, offering earlier insight into whether professional learning is influencing instruction.
The system also gathers anonymous survey data to measure changes in teacher confidence. It tracks collective teacher efficacy, a factor research links to improved student achievement. By combining observation data and teacher feedback, districts can view trends without waiting for long term assessment results.
Administrator Led Model Builds Internal Expertise
Lead Spark Team is structured for administrator ownership rather than consultant management. Schools begin with a ninety minute virtual onboarding session, followed by two rehearsal cycles. After this preparation, administrators lead improvement cycles independently.
The platform includes guided tools such as auto generated professional development scripts, observation templates, and reporting dashboards. These resources aim to reduce the time required to design each cycle while maintaining consistency across teams.
Odileke has also written a forthcoming book titled The Question Driven Principal Leading Instructional Improvement Without Being the Content Expert. The book outlines the philosophy behind the framework and explores how administrators can guide instructional improvement through structured questions and collaboration. The platform translates these ideas into a digital system that schools can use at scale.
Lead Spark Team allows districts to choose cycle lengths ranging from two to six weeks. District level dashboards provide a view of trends across multiple schools, while still focusing on team based collaboration within each site.
The company has introduced pilot programs for districts interested in testing the system in a limited number of schools before wider adoption. Through this approach, schools can evaluate how the framework supports teacher collaboration and classroom practice.
For students and teachers, the focus remains on improving instructional quality and making professional learning more connected to daily teaching. By providing earlier feedback on implementation, the platform seeks to help schools adjust strategies in real time and strengthen learning outcomes across classrooms.
