New Expansion Breaks Ground

A leading coil processing equipment company has officially begun construction on an expansion project at Springfield’s Partnership Industrial Center West. The $6.5 million facility will span 32,000 square feet upon completion, with the potential to grow up to 90,000 square feet in the future. The expansion will contribute to local economic growth by creating ten new jobs, adding to the current workforce of 24 employees at Press Room Equipment.

Springfield: A Strategic Choice for Growth

David Cox, CEO of The Bradbury Group, highlighted the reasons behind choosing Springfield as the site for this expansion. “We realized that Springfield is just a fantastic city with great culture and community,” Cox stated. He also emphasized the importance of workforce development, citing Ozarks Technical College as a valuable resource for training skilled manufacturing professionals. “Every business needs good people. It’s the people that make a company successful,” he added.

Press Room Equipment specializes in manufacturing machinery used to feed press lines that produce a variety of everyday products, including kitchen sinks, automotive components, and construction materials. The demand for such equipment continues to grow, reinforcing the necessity of expanding the company’s capabilities.

Future Growth and Industry Impact

The expansion comes on the heels of The Bradbury Group’s acquisition of Press Room Equipment in late 2023. The Bradbury Group, a global leader in roll-forming and coil-processing equipment, has ambitious plans for the newly acquired company. Their goal is to double Press Room Equipment’s production and workforce by the end of 2026, signaling long-term investment and confidence in the Springfield community.

With the expansion underway, local officials and industry leaders anticipate a positive impact on job creation and manufacturing innovation, further solidifying Springfield’s position as a hub for industrial growth.
