Section 1: Recruitment for COEHP Highlighters Program

The College of Education and Health Professions (COEHP) is actively seeking creative and enthusiastic students to join its “COEHP Highlighters” team for the upcoming fall semester. With ten available positions, the college encourages students passionate about their academic programs and active on social media to apply for these paid roles. The application deadline is set for August 9. COEHP Highlighters are expected to share their experiences, engage with their peers, and create compelling social media content that highlights the day-to-day life within their respective majors.

Section 2: Roles and Responsibilities of Highlighters

The role of a COEHP Highlighter involves close collaboration with the college’s communications team to develop social media campaigns, assist with marketing projects, and brainstorm innovative ideas to connect with fellow students. This initiative aims to spotlight the diverse and supportive community within the College of Education and Health Professions. The program is open to students from all COEHP majors, which include disciplines such as teaching, nursing, speech-language pathology, public health, recreation and sports management, counseling, occupational therapy, athletic training, and exercise science.

Kaylie Mahar, a participant in the program’s inaugural year, praised the experience, stating, “Being on the team is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with students from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds. I enjoyed getting to learn from one another and creatively thinking about ways to promote student engagement in the College of Education and Health Professions.”

Section 3: Application Details and Contact Information

To be eligible for the Highlighter position, students must be enrolled in either the undergraduate or graduate program of the college for at least one full semester. The role offers a stipend of $350 per semester, with appointments subject to re-evaluation at the end of the fall term. Interested students can find more details about the perks, requirements, and responsibilities in the application form.

For any questions or additional information, students are encouraged to contact the Assistant Director of Communications, Sean Rhomberg, at smrhombe@uark.edu. This initiative represents a unique opportunity for COEHP students to enhance their academic journey, gain valuable experience in social media and marketing, and contribute to the vibrant community of the College of Education and Health Professions.
