Huawei launched its Alliance on Healthcare & Education AI Digitalization 2.0, known as the Huawei AHEAD Program, on Tuesday in China, aiming to strengthen global cooperation and accelerate AI-driven transformation in education and healthcare through a broader partner ecosystem.

The announcement came during the 2026 Global Education & Healthcare Partners Convention, which brought together more than 500 customers and partners from over 40 countries and regions. Huawei said the initiative is designed to deepen collaboration and support the development of a sustainable ecosystem focused on digital and intelligent transformation.

Huawei Targets AI-Led Transformation

Speaking at the convention, Junfeng Li, vice president of Huawei and CEO of its Global Public Sector Business Unit, said artificial intelligence is driving significant changes across industries, including education and healthcare.

Li described the sectors as critical to long-term human development and said organizations worldwide face increasing pressure to adopt intelligent technologies. He said the transition also presents opportunities to improve access to services and drive innovation.

“We are in a wave of transformation driven by AI,” Li said during his keynote address.

He said Huawei aims to help expand access to quality education and improve healthcare delivery by applying AI and other advanced technologies. According to Li, the launch of the Huawei AHEAD Program represents an important step toward building a future-focused industry community alongside global partners.

Alliance 2.0 Expands Partner Collaboration

Huawei said the Huawei AHEAD Program builds on its previous partner alliance framework by moving beyond infrastructure-focused cooperation toward a more integrated ecosystem model.

The company identified six areas for collaboration under the upgraded alliance: trend insight, empowerment, solution co-creation, marketing, opportunity sharing, and business expansion.

Huawei said the new framework is intended to create greater value for both partners and customers while encouraging innovation across education and healthcare markets.

The company did not disclose financial details related to the initiative or provide specific implementation timelines.

Global Partners Support Ecosystem Growth

Robert Yang, director of Partner Development for Huawei’s Global Public Sector Business Unit, outlined the company’s strategy for expanding the alliance.

Yang said Huawei plans to leverage the expertise of partners worldwide to develop industry-specific digital solutions. He said stronger collaboration through the Huawei AHEAD Program could help accelerate intelligent transformation across both sectors.

Huawei said the convention demonstrated a shared commitment among industry participants to advancing digitalization efforts in education and healthcare.

Looking ahead, the company said it plans to work closely with partners to identify new application scenarios, develop emerging technologies, and address global challenges facing both industries.

Huawei said those efforts are expected to contribute to the broader adoption of digital and intelligent technologies in education and healthcare systems worldwide.

The convention concluded Tuesday in China following discussions focused on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and cross-industry collaboration.
